Ugh Sinus issues blow, and once a year, usually in September it happens to me. However…this year I almost made it out of Sept… almost {One week later than last year}.

While everyone else is posting apple and pumpkin recipes, I’m doing the tropical thing.  Do you still drink tropical smoothies in the fall?  For me, they have no season, I could drink them year round!  Especially when my immunity needs a boost.

Seasonal Proof:  Here’s my smoothie post from September 17 last year. Coincidence, I think not?!  Seasonal, I think so!! Maybe next year, It wont happen until October? Fingers crossed, maybe it wont happen at all!

Orange Colada Goodness Smoothie Recipe

I love this smoothie. Packed with vitamin C it really kick started my congestion-clear-out by getting some enzymes and vitamins back in my system. If you don’t have the fresh pineapple, kiwi is another high-enzyme fruit that works well in this smoothie.  If you don’t like heat you can leave the cayenne out.

Orange Colada Goodness Smoothie

  • Time: 4 mins
  • Difficulty: easy

1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 cup fresh chopped pineapple
1/2 frozen banana chunks {if raw, also add ice}
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1.5 cups coconut water ice-cold
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp agave syrup {or honey}
Hefty sprinkle of cayenne
optional: flax-seed or fresh grated ginger

Combine all ingredients.  Blend for 1 minute.  Pour into a glass and enjoy!
