Abobs snack bar

ABOBS Breakfast Snack Bars

It’s an exciting day! I have another recipe for you, this time for Almond Butter Oatmeal Breakfast Snack Bars.  Breakfast, there is no other.  Feel my might.

ABOBS Snack Bar

These ABOBS Snack Bars {for short} are healthy, all natural, ultra filling, and so easy to make.

I created them in a desperate quest to have an oatmeal breakfast bar that would keep me full and give me a much-needed break from eggs.  I’m so tired of eggs and I’m getting tired of smoothies too.  I guess I was craving something new and different {god bless america}. So I pulled out a bunch of ingredients from the cupboards and got to it.

I had the hardest time naming this recipe, they are hard to describe, there’s so much in them. I almost named them Countertop Cupboard Bars because that’s where all my ingredients were found.  But that didn’t even sound remotely edible. Oh hey, before I forget…folks with nut and seed allergies need not read further, you may go.

Really you can eat anything for breakfast…even last nights dinner. If it is edible, it is breakfast. Right?! But sometimes…I want breakfast to resemble breakfast, but not exactly breakfast in the same old standard definition of breakfast.  And I want it to be homemade and free of artificial ingredients. Basically, I’m not sure what I want but, I want it all. You know what I’m sayin?

These bars are good for breakfast, lunch, snack-time or anytime.  Granted, it clearly resembles a snack. I mean it has all the traits of a snack…light, portable, quick, convenient, small meal…however it also has oatmeal…soooo. So I guess what I ended up with was a breakfast that was snackISH?  Or is it a snack that was breakfastISHY? Whatever, Almond Butter Oatmeal Breakfast Snack Bars {ABOBS} are easy and delicious and have been a regular in our house ever since. Yes, the name is a mouthful, but these bars are too!  HA! Enjoy!

So there you have it.
