Road Trip Road Trip!  It was a full weekend.  I drove to visit family, it was 9 hours roundtrip. Honestly, I was contemplating not going…but now in retrospect, I’m glad I did.  I got a lot accomplished, reconnected with one entire side of my family, and learned some important things too…

Road Trip

There’s joy in simple discovery.  We went to the grocery store and shopped for some munchies, as I browsed the snack aisles.  I found this treasure–Dill Pickle Kracker Nuts, cracker covered peanuts bursting with flavor?!  Holy wow, 3 awesome snacks built into ONE! Just intriguing enough that I wanted to buy them.  I must admit, discovering odd products with funny names, makes me happy for some strange reason.  I marvel at the fact that it’s someones job to come up with this stuff!!!  Cool job bro, I’m very entertained.   Road Trip My Dad had a cool little gift for me.  Check it out–it’s a stylus for my iPhone. So I won’t get tired fingers while texting or playing Candy Crush.  At first I wasn’t sure I would like it–but turns out its crazy accurate–seriously better than my finger tip!  Don’t be skeptical, you have to try one!  I’m hooked.   Road Trip SURPRISE!!!  You only turn 95 once.  Applause!!  We all went to my Great Aunt Josephine’s 95th Surprise Birthday Party!  I came home realizing that the best decision I made was coming in for this party.  I got to reconnect with extended family I hadn’t seen in years, this birthday party was more like a family reunion but this time the whole family was together for a happy occasion (instead of a sad occasion).  The family has grown a lot, so many cousins I remember being little are all grown up now.  Where does the time go?

It made me aware that we should celebrate life, be grateful for the happy times and reconnect with family every so often.  This picture is priceless.  I Love you Aunt Jo, Happy 95th Birthday! <3   blog plates Souvenir Jackpot!!  I helped my dad clean out a corner of the garage and brought home some useful toys to workout with. Yikes, rusty, dusty & h-e-a-v-y.  My next project is cleaning these bad boys up and putting them to use!  Thank you dad, I’m a lucky girl. 🙂  Thanks for stopping by and reading, remember to lift with your legs. Now it’s time to get to work!
