I’m not an Aquarius, but I love water. Aside from the obvious reasons to love water, I love the taste plain and simple. Creative, I find myself putting in extra pieces of random fruit into my water. Aside from visually beautiful, fresh fruit infused waters have a hint of flavor that is equal parts refreshing and healthy.
Here are a few simple infused waters I have made (and couldn’t get enough of)…not in Mason Jars.
This idea is not new. I did not invent it. It’s all over pinterest…usually shown in Mason jars.
Uh oh, will I be judged because I didn’t hop on the Mason jar bandwagon? Tote a layered lunch to work in them, overnight oats, dressings, paleo salads, gluten free brownies, guacamole, drinks, smoothies, spaghetti n meatballs, soups, vases, votives and apple pie. Prolific, it’s no longer homey or charming, its so 2013. Mason jars were created for canning and preserving foods, certainly not to be photogenic drinking glasses…straw or not. But I could be wrong.
Dare I ask? When it comes to new beverage containers, whats next? Maybe these?
Truth be told, I see the attraction to glass. I prefer the taste of cold water from glass rather than plastic bottle. These new glass fitness bottles with the silicone grips are the bomb! I now have several varieties in my cabinet.
Portable, they fit into most cup holders, silicone grip helps prevent dropage and they are easy to drink from. Photogenic?
Kitchen Notes: Banana chunks don’t work well..lol! I’m also not a fan of grapefruit in my water, too bitter. Oh!…and pomegranate seeds clog your straw. Have fun playing with your water!
So there you have it.
What’s your zodiac sign?
Do you think that water tastes better in glass than plastic?
Have you tried one of these glass fitness bottles?
